Description: A Memorandum of Understanding brokered by Nature Seychelles forms the basis for a partnership between the Cousin Island Special Reserve and the neighboring island of Cousine, which is privately owned and run as an up market eco-lodge.

In addition, Nature Seychelles has developed partnerships with other privately owned resort islands for the purpose of restoring island ecosystem and rescuing globally endangered species. This has led to the recent down listing of the Critically Endangered Seychelles Magpie robin in the IUCN Red List and to the removal of the Seychelles Fody from BirdLife International's listing of Threatened Birds of the World.

Cousin has received international awards for its conservation and ecotourism efforts by Conde Nast Traveler and Bristish Airways.
