Description: The Porini Ecotourism Project is a good example of a partnership between a private investor and local community. In this partnership, the local community has leased out land to a private investor, who in turn has turned the area into a wildlife conservancy. In addition, the private investor has established a tented camp whose clientele vary from middle to up market customers. The resulting symbiotic relationship has ensured sustainable utilization of tourism and wildlife resources in the area.
